Our Story

Sean and I met the modern way on good ole’ Hinge. At the time, I was directing and managing a ballet company, and Sean was in the thick of his 3rd year in residency at Yale. Our schedules kept us busy, but after nearly two months, we finally made it to our first date at a Mediterranean restaurant. And funnily enough, Sean talked the entire night—which anyone who knows him now would find pretty surprising.
From the start, it was clear Sean wasn’t your stereotypical medical professional or surgeon. He prefers to leave work at work, though he does occasionally geek out when he performs some type of peculiar surgery. I typically nod along smiling because, though I have no clue what the hell he’s talking about, his passion is contagious. He enjoys a good brewery, loves to shake a cocktail, and don’t even get me started on his ability to clear out an entire dance floor at a wedding (something you all get to look forward to).
Over the years, we’ve sought out new breweries together, wandered the streets of Italy from Sorrento to Positano to scaling a cliff in Amalfi (the true test of our relationship), and even booked a trip to Singapore and Thailand just 48 hours before flying—which honestly is how we roll. We love trying new food and discovering new places, usually putting us in some type of predicament that requires a post-celebratory libation.
But some of our biggest adventures have been closer to home. We’re both the second in line of two large families, and we’ve been incredibly blessed with parents who instilled in us the value of family and siblings who are some of our closest friends. Between us, we have four nephews and seven nieces, and we’ve even had the joy of witnessing five of them enter the world. Our favorite titles are Uncle Sean and Auntie Steph, and getting to watch our families grow has been one of the greatest joys of our relationship.
In August 2026, we moved cross-country from Connecticut to California after Sean graduated from Yale and began his career at Stanford as a board-certified vascular surgeon. I left my dance career behind and stepped into a new chapter as a content creator and aspiring interior designer, DIYing our beautiful rental property into a home and sharing the process along the way. We’re building traditions of our own, from our monthly Pasta Sundays with family and friends to our annual Halloween party, The Villain’s Ball. We continue to navigate life’s challenges together, including my journey with endometriosis and the occasional killing of a brown widow in our upstairs bathroom.
Through it all, we’ve learned that our differences are our strength. I’m outgoing and expressive; Sean is steady, reserved, and quietly hilarious. We balance each other, ground each other, and somehow make a pretty great team. We’re so grateful for the life we’ve already built together, and Coeur d’Alene felt like the perfect place to begin this next chapter—a destination that invites everyone we love to slow down, gather together, and make memories we’ll never forget.
